Fredric Jameson obtained his doctorate at Yale in the late 1950’s. He taught in the Department of French from 1976 to 1983, and, after moving to Duke, spent each summer and his final years on his farm in nearby Killingworth where he passed away last September. Some of those in our community who knew him or were affected by his massively influential publications, will gather to reflect on his life and its impact on April 4.
