The Comparative Literature major encourages students to consider spending a summer, semester, or full year abroad. Courses taken on international programs may, with permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS), be applied to the Comparative Literature Major’s Foreign Literature requirement.
Discuss intended courses with the DUS before enrollment to obtain a record of approval. Upon return to Yale, approval from your residential dean is required to add the courses taken abroad to your permanent record.
Please fill out this form to initiate the approval process with your dean. Once any courses taken abroad have been approved, you may contact the registrar to have the courses applied to your degree as pre-approved by the DUS.
