Professor Robyn Creswell reviews a new translation of The Thousand and One Nights in The New York Review of Books

Robyn Creswell, who teaches an undergraduate course on The Thousand and One Nights, has published a review of a new translation of the Arabic (and French) story collection in the November 3, 2002 issue of The New York Review of Books. He calls Yasmine Seale’s version of the tales “the best, to my mind, in English.”
