Playing on the phrase caput mundi, the image of Rome as bridge, not head, of the world launches a lecture tracing the cultural transformation of one liminal bridge in the city.
Thomas Harrison, who holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from CUNY, specializing in modern European intellectual history, literature, and the comparative arts. He also researches contemporary Italian critical theory, music, the modernist novel and poetics.
