Talk by Daniel Tiffany: “In the Poisonous Candy Factory: Kitsch and Poetic Diction”

The Comparative Literature Department is pleased to present a public lecture by Daniel Tiffany, Professor of Comparative Literature and English at the University of Southern California. The talk, entitled “In the Poisonous Candy Factory: Kitsch and Poetic Diction,” will take place at 4pm on Monday, November 7th in the Comparative Literature Department Library, Bingham Hall, 8th floor. Reception to follow.

Tiffany is the author of five books of literary criticism, and five collections of poetry (including his latest, The Work-Shy, from Wesleyan University Press). He is a recipient of the Berlin Prize and has published translations of Greek, French, and Italian authors.  He lives in Los Angeles and Berlin.
