Dick Davis, Professor of Persian, Ohio State University
Dick Davis’ award-winning translations of classical Persian poetry include Farid ud-Din Attar’s The Conference of Birds, Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, Fakhraddin Gorgani’s Vis and Ramin, and a collection of lyrics by Hafez (Faces of Love). A scholar and an acclaimed poet, Davis is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Professor Emeritus of Persian at Ohio State University.
