The Return of the Author: Autofictional Flânerie
Shaj Mathew is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in comparative literature. His scholarly articles have appeared in Adaptation and Critique, and his scholarly reviews have appeared in Critical Inquiry. He also contributes literary criticism to The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, and The New Republic. He studies literature and film in Persian, Turkish, Spanish, and English.
