The Literary Translation Track

Students may elect to pursue a translation concentration within the  Comparative Literature Major. Students in the translation track must fulfill the same requirements as those in the standard track, with the following exceptions: translation-track students take LITR 348 instead of LITR 140 as a required course. In addition, they must choose two of their three electives from courses that engage with some aspect of translation studies (the office of the director of undergraduate studies maintains a list of qualifying courses). The third elective must be used, as in the standard major, to fulfill the theory requirement.
